90 Day Fiancé- What Happened To Nicole Nafziger After Azan Tefou Split (2024)

After news surfaced that 90 Day Fiancé star Nicole Nafziger might be married, or pregnant with Azan Tefou’s baby, the Florida native announced the couple's split in July 2021. Nicole, a 30-year-old single mom to eight-year-old May, met Azan (aka Hasan M’Rouni) on a dating app. Nicole flew to meet him for the first time on 90 Day Fiancé season 4. They were engaged by the end of Nicole’s Morocco trip, and continued to share their story on 90 Day Fiancé season 5, followed by 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? seasons 3 and 4.

However, Nicole and Azan never got married. They postponed their wedding twice, as they had many struggles in their relationship. Following their time on 90 Day Fiancé, Nicole tried to make the relationship work by going to Morocco in March 2020, where they self-quarantined together. Azan was stuck in his country because his K-1 visa was denied. Nicole returned to America in August 2020, when the pair sparked split rumors. Despite insisting they were still together, the pair had split by late 2021.

Nicole lets her Instagram followers play guessing games when it comes to her relationship status with Azan, and she's also irked them with her clickbait posts. She even tried to make fans believe that 90DF cast members had passed away, including Angela Deem.

In December 2021, Cassia Tavares called out Nicole for sharing a clickbait piece about her ex Jason Hitch’s death, after which Nicole suddenly disappeared from Instagram.

Nicole's most recent clickbait occurred via Instagram Story in April 2024, with a post insinuating that she had died. Nicole hasn't posted anything to her page since August 2023.

Nicole shared that in September 2021, she'd made a, “big decision” by enrolling in the State College of Florida, which has a campus in Nicole’s hometown, Bradenton. It was challenging for Nicole to go to college after such a long time, but she shared, “I am currently working on pre-recs to get into the Radiology program.” In January 2022, Nicole started her first semester, but confessed to her Instagram followers that she felt, “an ache of loneliness.”

By June 2022, Nicole was back at Starbucks, where she used to work as a barista since her clickbait earnings had apparently dried up. However, Nicole worked on her body while she was with Azan. These days though, Nicole doesn't post to let fans know if she has kept up with any kind of workout routine to lose weight.

Nicole Brought Entertainment Value To The Show

90 Day Fiancé OG Nicole gave viewers some real cringe and entertaining moments in the years she was in the franchise. When Nicole and Azan visited the desert and Nicole had a hard time walking through the sand to leave, fans were given one of the best 90 Day Fiancé quotes of all time.

Between Azan being surprised by Nicole being "a little bit big" after first meeting her to their hard-to-watch gym sessions, Nicole and Azan's incompatibility was striking. Nicole embarrassed Azan repeatedly by calling out their sex life, trying to be affectionate in public, and fighting with him in the streets.

Nicole's 90 Day Fiancé legacy is that she brought incredible entertainment value to the show for years with her bad decision-making serious incompatibility with Azan, and her refusal to give up the relationship. These days, Nicole is very far removed from her previous public life with Azan. And although she does her clickbait moves to try and stay relevant, Nicole will likely remain relevant to 90 Day Fiancé fans because of how memorable and unhinged her seasons in the franchise were.

It's unlikely Nicole will ever make a return to the 90 Day Fiancé universe, although it's not impossible. She has been focusing on bettering her life and providing a good life for May, so her focus has been away from the franchise. If she were to appear again, 90 Day: The Single Life would be the best fit for the now-30-year-old.
